The writing requirements for transfer applications are even more important than first-year applications. Since fewer students apply for transfer, admissions officers have more time to devote to each application. In addition, you’ll need to show how your experience at your current school has positively informed your decision to transfer without sounding negative. It’s a fine balance.

You'll need to do a lot of soul-searching to define and articulate your reasons and goals. I like to apply the push and pull factors of migration that you may remember learning in social studies.
