LIZ WALTZMAN, ESSAY COACH & WAC, LLC FOUNDER
I have coached high school students through essay brainstorming & writing and the college application process since 2013. With more than 25 years experience as a school librarian, I have helped teens formulate, research, and organize ideas, always recognizing the student’s story and voice are paramount. I have Master's Degrees in Art History (MA), Education (MS) and Library Science (MLS).
I work with high school juniors and seniors in Westchester and Fairfield Counties, and beyond these areas through remote sessions, typically using FaceTime and GoogleDrive. Sessions can include brainstorming, guided writing, editing and proofreading. Additional edits and advice are provided through GoogleDocs, before and after sessions, in order to maximize our time together. We can meet at my house, your house, a public library, another location that works for you, or online.
All clients can expect to end up with applications that are structured and fine tuned for maximum impact, including well-written, topical essays that demonstrate their unique qualities, experiences and voices.
I am an avid reader and writer. I live in Weston, CT with my husband, three children, and two dogs.
We work with students in the comfort of their homes, our office in Weston, a mutually convenient alternative location, or online.
